Who We Are
UK/Ukraine Rehabilitation is a UK-registered charity (commission number 1215935) that funds rehabilitation for Ukrainians injured by Russia's war. We have worked directly with the Mercy & Health Foundation in Kyiv for over four years, a specialist clinic providing physical and mental rehabilitation to soldiers from the front line.
Over 50,000 Ukrainians have lost a limb since the war began. Tens of thousands more live with spinal injuries, head trauma, and the psychological weight of what they've witnessed. Specialist rehabilitation gives these people their lives back.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to fund rehabilitation services for Ukrainian civilians and military veterans recovering from physical and psychological injuries inflicted by Russia's invasion. We channel funds and equipment to our partner Ukrainian medical organisation doing this work, with specialist treatment routes into the UK where local expertise is unavailable.
Rehabilitation For The Injured
Physical Health Support
We fund the physical rehabilitation that helps Ukrainians regain mobility, strength, and independence after catastrophic injury. Conservative estimates put the number of war-related amputations at over 50,000, with tens of thousands more living with spinal and head injuries. Our funding goes to specialist equipment, the extensive operational costs of rehabilitation centres, and emerging technologies that expand the capabilities of recovery.
Psychological Support
Ukraine has been at war with Russia since 2014. Every Ukrainian has been touched by it - orphaned children, broken families, and people living with the uncertainty that they'll survive the next day. We fund psychological care to help those people through what they've witnessed through the Mercy & Health Clinic in Kyiv.
Direct Rehabilitation Care
Physiotherapy, mental health counselling, and prosthetic fittings delivered through Mercy & Health Foundation in Kyiv.
Operating Costs
Funding the day-to-day running of our partner rehabilitation centre so they can keep their doors open and staff paid.
